This family was one of my first families that I photographed when I first started. It is a honor that I have been able to capture this growing family. Sadie came for Lucie's newborn session and it was like a friend coming to visit. I really enjoyed being able to build these bonds with my clients and chat about . Baby Lucie was named after her grandmother. I love when little ones carry on a family name. I find it so special. Little Lucie was a joy to work with. She loved being wrapped up and let me get her in some really cute props. I even taught mom how to wrap her so that at home she could get her to sleep that well at home. I have so many clients that say I make it look so easy when I wrap them up like little burrtios and get them to sleep like that but sometimes I get one that won't settle and that is ok. I'm am just giving them that familiar feeling of being nice and cozy in the womb. When choosing a newborn photographer you want someone that you know how they are going to react with your new baby. I take safety very seriously and you should take the time and do the research when hiring a newborn photographer. You will be glad you did <3
Sweet Lucie was for all the cuddles. I was able to use some new props that I had added to my prop collection and we definitely got a good variety. Some of my favorites was the profile shots and her in the white basket. She looked so angelic.
When I saw her finial prints and canvas all blown up I had the biggest smile on my face. These are such special heirlooms to have to look back on and to even pass down to the next generation. Nothing like seeing it printed up big on your wall.
